This seaside university operates a modern aquarium with real underwater environment and a marine science museum. The exhibition starts with the King’s works on rehabilitate the marine nature and marine science, fishery with Thai lives then displays various kinds of sea animals’ including the giant tank contains exciting sea animals swimming along 1,000 tons of sea water.

Bangsaen Aquarium is a research institution in marine science. With the Institute of Saltwater Aquaculture Open to outsiders for more than 30 years, a tourist attraction in Chonburi that should not be missed. The Bangsaen Aquarium is open for us to visit. There are 2 parts: the Saltwater Aquarium Institute and the Marine Science Museum.

  • Take a bus from Bangkok There will be both vans and buses coming to Nongmon market and walk across the overpass to the other side Will see the red minibus near the bridge Get on the red bus (see Bangsaen sign in front of the car) and get off at the front of Burapha University. And you will see Bangsaen Aquarium on the right (facing the university).

By Car

  • Drive on Route 3 (Sukhumvit Road) facing Pattaya. Arrive at Bang Saen Red Light junction and turn right and continue straight. You will find Burapha University, on the left hand side, turn right into the front door of the university Then you can see the Marine Science Museum building on the right Turn back and keep left to enter the parking lot. There will be a sign indicating the park of the Marine Science Museum.
