Kyushu
The Kyushu region is the third largest island in Japan. and located in the southwestern part of the Japanese archipelago The island is also a rich source of crops and cereals. and because it is in the southernmost zone of the country There is beautiful nature, various kinds of colorful trees, and most importantly, it is the country’s most important hot spring source.
Kyushu region consists of 7 prefectures:
1. Fukuoka is located on the island of Kyushu, the capital city is Fukuoka, the cities of Fukuoka and Kitakyushu. It is a provincial economic zone. It is another center of the automotive and steel industry.
2. Saga prefecture is located between Fukuoka and Nagasaki prefectures. The northern part of the prefecture borders the Genkai Sea. The southern part is connected to the Ariake Sea. The whole province is rich in beautiful nature. delicious fresh food and valuable culture Saga Prefecture is famous for pottery. such as Aritayaki, Imariyaki, and Karatsuyaki. Each pottery is unique. Beautiful and very unique.
3. Nagasaki is one of the prefectures affected by nuclear bombs during World War 2, located on the island of Kyushu, with Nagasaki as its capital. It is another important historical region of Japan. And used to be the home of the Catholic missionaries in the 16th century. Therefore, there are many buildings related to Christianity and Buddhism.
4. Kumamoto is located in the middle of the island of Kyushu. Kumamoto is the capital city. and in Kumamoto City It was the site of Kumamoto Castle and it was also the place where Miyamoto Musashi spent his later years.
5. Oita is a prefecture located on the island of Kyushu, with Oita as the capital. It is the source product of kabosu (a type of citrus fruit) and is famous for its hot springs in Beppu. And there is an annual music festival at Mount Hachimen.
6. Miyazaki is located in the eastern part of the island of Kyushu, with Miyazaki as the capital. It is home to many shrines.
7. Kagoshima is located on the island of Kyushu, with Kagoshima as the capital, sweet potatoes, radishes, rice, earthenware. It’s a famous product.
Tourist Attraction
Wisteria Tunnel at Kawachi Fuji Garden
It is well known and is a very popular spot for viewing and taking photos of wisteria in Kitakyushu. The peak blooming period is from late April to mid-May. The central feature of the garden is the wisteria tunnel, which leaves branches with deep purple, light purple, white and pink flowers of varying shades hanging from a 100-meter-long, covered tunnel.
Fukuoka Tower
With a height of 234 meters, you can see the surrounding scenery. Located in the Momochihama area in Fukuoka City, Japan, it is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. Completed in 1989, took 14 months to build.
