Synopsis:

All his life, Shiki has been surrounded by machines. At Granbell Kingdom, a long-abandoned amusement park, he is the only one of his kind around. That is, until Rebecca Bluegarden and her feline companion Happy arrive, unaware that they are Granbell’s first visitors in one hundred years. Their goal is to make fun videos for their B-Cube channel, but what they find instead is a friend in the socially awkward Shiki.

When Granbell becomes too dangerous for the three of them, they set off on an adventure through the Sakura Cosmos. They hope to make more interesting videos and even find the elusive goddess Mother, while Shiki wants to make more friends, spurred on by the words of his late grandfather. Of course, the journey will not be easy, as no one has seen Mother before, but Shiki is determined to reach his goal and explore the boundless reaches of space together with his new friends.

Plot:

Shiki Granbell is a human and gravity Ether Gear user who lives among robots on the planet Granbell, a deserted theme park world in the Sakura Cosmos. The park is visited by two space traveling B-Cubers – Rebecca Bluegarden and her robotic cat companion, Happy – whom Shiki befriends. After the park’s robots force them off the planet to save Shiki from being stranded before their batteries die, the three set out to explore the universe by searching for Mother, the wish-granting goddess of the cosmos, whom Shiki recognizes.

Early in Shiki’s journey, the space pirate Elsie Crimson gifts him with the Edens Zero, an interstellar warship left as inheritance by his deceased grandfather figure, the mechanical Demon King Ziggy. In preparation for the voyage, Shiki searches the Sakura Cosmos for Ziggy’s android crewmates, the Four Shining Stars.

He also recruits other friends he encounters in the process, including Weisz Steiner, a criminal from another reality created by the chronophage; E.M. Pino, a young EMP android built by Ziggy who suffers from memory damage; and Homura Kōgetsu, a swordswoman and successor to one of the Four Shining Stars. Meanwhile, Rebecca gradually discovers her own Ether Gear ability to reverse time and travel between alternate universes to survive when the crew’s lives are threatened by the crime lord Drakken Joe.

After assembling the Four Shining Stars, the crew return to Granbell and encounter a reactivated Ziggy, who has become malevolent and desires to rid the universe of all humans. Avoiding destruction by Ziggy’s enhanced Edens One warship, the Edens Zero crew travel to the Aoi Cosmos, where they become involved in an anti-robot war incited by the Nero Empire after training under Xenolith, Ziggy’s mentor.

Ziggy attempts to kill them with an arsenal of 20,000 antimatter bombs, but Shiki leads the crew to escape, although Witch Regret, one of the Four Shining Stars, dies while protecting the ship from the explosion. Shaken by their loss, the crew postpone their journey until they can defeat Ziggy.

Three years later, the crew finds Ziggy on the planet Lendard in the Kaede Cosmos, and joins forces with Elsie and the Interstellar Union Army to defeat him. During the showdown, Ziggy reveals himself to be a version of Shiki from a parallel universe where he and Rebecca tried stopping the antimatter bombs, causing a spacetime distortion that sent them 20,000 years into the future, with Ziggy being rebuilt as a machine and using the deceased Rebecca’s Ether to return to the past. Pino also regains her memories and uses an enhanced EMP to restore Ziggy’s original personality, finding that another enemy has been controlling him.

Is Edens Zero basically Fairy Tail?

Is ‘Eden’s Zero’ connected to ‘Fairy Tail? ‘ No, the two aren’t necessarily connected. The fact that they were created by the same person, Hiro Mashima, can explain the similarities.
