Amphawa Floating Market in Samut Songkhram, Thailand

Amphawa Floating Market open three days a week (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from 11 am – 9:30 pm. The Floating market is located on the edge of the canal near Wat Amphawan Jetiyaram temple. This is the first evening floating market with at lot of charm on houses from both side with original Thai style beside the river. In Amphawa canal, there are merchants boat that vendor sell foods and beverages such as Thai desserts, grilled seafood, noodles, snacks and many more. The market well know as a paradise for people to get foods and drinks with relax atmosphere near river.

Not only walk around and get something to eat or buy souvenir but you can take a boat trip along with the Mae Klong River and pay respect to temple around riverside as well. The highlight that you shouldn’t missed is in the evening that you can rent a boat to see the fireflies and service fee is about 60 – 100 baht per person.

How to get there:

By Car:

  • Take Highway No. 35 (Thon Buri – Pak Tho) to Km. 63, go to Samut Songkhram town pass the city then take Highway 325 to Samut Songkhram – Bang Phae, Km 36-37, come to the left junction. The way to Ror 2 National Park, floating market will be close to Rama 2 monument park.
